An absolutely delightful tale about young Suki, who insists on wearing her special blue cotton kimono on her very first day of school. Unconcerned about what others might say, Suki wears her kimono to celebrate her memories of a perfect day spent with her grandmother at a street festival celebrating Japanese culture. She shares her memories with her classmates, in full regalia, with a dance or two … and shows that her indomitable spirit is nothing short of inspiring. Ah, girl power!
