Mobilizing an Asian American Community by Linda Trinh Võ [in AsianWeek]
An examination of the formation of the Asian American community in San Diego – California’s second largest city and the sixth largest nationally – which numbers more than 200,000. Using ethnographic fieldwork and interviews, as well as historical resources and data, Võ captures the developing of a community from isolated factions into organized voices.
